OCT-NOV 2026 Siargao Surf Season Schedule Begins

Catch four contests over three big breaks this surf season in Siargao

Siargao surf season is shaping up to be an exciting one in 2026, with competitions taking place across some of the island's most famous surf breaks. From Pacifico in the north to world-famous Cloud 9 in General Luna, October and November are great months to experience Siargao's surf culture.

The 2026 Siargao surf lineup

  • 5–10 October: Pacifico National Surfing Competition – Pacifico, San Isidro

  • 12–19 October: Cloud 9 Memorial Surfing Cup – Cloud 9, General Luna

  • 31 October–10 November: Philippines Pro WCT – World Surf Championship – Cloud 9, General Luna

  • 13–18 November: Tangbo Longboard Open – Tangbo, Sta. Monica

Where to watch

If you're staying in General Luna, Cloud 9 is the easiest event location to reach and one of the best places to experience competitive surfing in Siargao.

Pacifico and Tangbo are further north, making them a great excuse to hire a scooter or organise transport and explore more of the island.

5–10 October
Pacifico National Surfing Competition – Pacifico, San Isidro

Head north to the laid-back surf town of Pacifico for six days of shortboard competition. With its long reef break and relaxed atmosphere, Pacifico is a great place to experience Siargao surf away from the crowds of General Luna.

12–19 October
Cloud 9 Memorial Surfing Cup – Cloud 9, General Luna

Watch local and visiting surfers take on the waves at Siargao's most famous surf break. Cloud 9 provides an incredible backdrop for a week of shortboard competition and island surf culture.

31 October–10 November
Philippines Pro WCT – World Surf Championship – Cloud 9, General Luna

One of the biggest events on the 2026 Siargao surf calendar, bringing high-level competitive surfing to the legendary Cloud 9 break. Expect some of the most exciting surfing of the season and a lively atmosphere around General Luna.

13–18 November
Tangbo Longboard Open – Tangbo, Sta. Monica

The action moves north again for the Tangbo Longboard Open. A change of pace from the shortboard events, this competition showcases longboarding against the beautiful, quieter surroundings of northern Siargao.

Whether you're coming to compete, catch the action, or simply experience the island at its liveliest, Siargao surf in 2026 promises an exciting season.
