Cloud 9 is Siargao Islands’ number one surf spot. It’s considered an expert-level spot for surfers but our Island offers a host of surfing locations for all experience levels.

Snorkeling and diving

From snorkelling close to the many beaches to deep sea diving, you will be spoilt for choice.

Cave exploration

Hagukan Cave and Magkukuob Cave are magical places and a must for the adventurous.

Island hopping

There are so many islands to visit off the Siargao coast. Our favorites are the famous Naked island as well as Daku Island and Guyam Island.

Island land tour

Meet locals, explore Maasin river, pick coconuts, explore palm tree road, rice terraces and more.

Lookouts and hiking

Hikking is possible throughout most parts of the island but be sure to stop by the much photographed Abandoned Siargao Lighthouse.

Rock pools and lagoons

Be sure to visit the Magpupungko Rock Pools, a natural tidal pool on the north of Siargao Island

Cliff jumping

There are 9 wonderful spots to cliff jump on Siargao Island from expansive lagoons to dark caves.

Sunsets

Book a tour to watch the sunset or ride to sunset bridge to meet the many who flock there to watch our vibrant sunsets.

Food and culture

The locals love their island food. All parts of the island have great places to eat. You’ll find the best variety in General Luna.

Waterfall tour

Visit Taktak Falls 90 minutes north of General Luna. It’s very much an Instagrammable location.

Many places offer hire for water activities throughout the island.

Cloud 9

Famous surf spot

The most famous surf break on the island is Cloud 9, a powerful right-hand reef break that has been attracting surfers since the 1980s.

This is considered an ‘expert’ level surf spot on Siargao Island, but it also caters to beginners. Many of the surf schools on the island offer lessons for all skill levels, facilitated by knowledgeable local instructors.

For great accommodation nearby, Kawayan Hostel is only a 10 minute ride from Cloud 9.
