Hi all!

We are super excited to share with you a fun and fab tour of the Philippines to show you all our favourite places and the new rooms we have created at Kawayan Hostel.

We’ve put together a special itinerary for you based on our previous trips, and we think you’re going to love it =) The itinerary includes a mix of adventure, relaxation, exploration, and a little bit of partying of course!

Below you will find a summary of the itinerary (full itinerary to come later), costs, key dates, some pics from our previous trips, and a form to fill in if you’re interested in coming

Itinerary Summary

Part 1 > CEBU

DAY 1
Monday 19th

Fly: Australia to Manila (8 hrs, 30 mins).
Stay: Manila 1 night, Sheraton Manila Airport.

DAY 2
Tuesday 20th

Fly: Manila to Cebu City.
Van: Cebu City to Oslob, lunch along the way.
Stay: Oslob 1 night, AJ’s Place.

DAY 3
Wednesday 21st

Activity: Butanding, Whale shark swimming.
Tour: Zipline + Canyoneering.
Stay: Moalboal 2 nights, Secret Paradise resort.

DAY 4
Thursday 22nd

Activity: Sardine and Turtle swimming.
Leisure: At the resort.

DAY 5
Friday 23rd

Van: Moalboal to Cebu City.
Fly: Cebu City to Siargao.
Stay: General Luna, Siargao 8 nights, Kawayan Hostel.

SIARGAO

DAY 6
Saturday 24th

Leisure: Visit Cloud 9, Shaka Cafe, Ocean 9 Cabanas, and Secret Beach.
Event: Siargao Beach Club Foam Party.

DAY 7
Sunday 25th

Tour: Sugba Lagoon + Maasin River, Coconut Farm Lookout, and Coconut Road.

Monday 26th

Leisure: Visit a local resort pool and explore General Luna town centre.

Tuesday 27th

Tour: Island Hopping - tri-island tour; Naked Island, Guyam Island, Daku Island.

Wednesday 28th

Leisure: Visit Cloud 9, Coconut Mountain View, Coconut Road, Secret Beach.
Event: Kawayan Hostel Rooftop Anniversary Banquet Dinner.

Thursday 29th

Tour: Visit Sohoton Cove, Jellyfish Lake, and Sohoton caves.

MANILA

DAY 13
Saturday 31st

Fly: Siargao to Manila.
Visit: Fort Santiago.
Stay: Manila 1.5 nights, Grand Westside Manila Bay.
Event: Farewell drag show at O Bar + Halloween!

DAY 14
Sunday 1st

Leisure: Mall of Asia, attractions, or leisure at the hotel.
Event: Farewell dinner at Okada.
Fly: Manila to Australia in the evening

DAY 15
Monday 2nd

The End: Arrive early AM.

Costs

We have based the costs below on our trip in 2025. For this trip, our guests paid the trip deposit ahead of time so that we could book everything on their behalf. This worked great as we were able to coordinate all tours, transfers, accommodations, and domestic flights without any issues.

You can usually get $800 - $1,000 return with luggage via Cebu Pacific Air.

B. Trip deposit

- Tours, outings, some meals

This is paid to us June 1st. Should there be any unused amounts, this will go towards ‘Pay later’ costs.

- Meals and drinks
- Personal spending
- Other

If we go for group dinners, for example, we usually pay and get you to ‘Pay later.’ There will also be your own ‘Personal spend’.

Pay trip deposit of $1,500 (or $1,100 for Short Tour).

F. Receive tickets

Once everything is booked, we will send you all of your tickets and the final itinerary.

G. Review itinerary

1 Oct

We will review the itinerary and make adjustments as needed.

We’ll let you know if there are any additional charges.

International flights

Important note

Flight Bookings:

So that we can coordinate accommodation, transport, and domestic flights, it’s important that we receive your international return flight details and your trip deposit on the same day.

This will ideally be 1 June 2026 for everyone. We will issue a digital form for you to complete on this day.

Luggage:

All flights will be booked with 20kg maximum check-in luggage. Carry-on luggage will generally be 7kg.

If you need more luggage, this can be added later. You’re welcome to ask us to do it for you, or you can make these changes yourself using our shared booking account.

As soon as your flight is booked we will confirm bookings with our transport providers and accommodations to secure spots.

Disclaimer

  • Upfront cost (AUD $1,500) is non-refundable once paid. As soon as you pay we will proceed with paying for bookings with our providers. Most of our providers allow for low costs under non-refundable conditions.

    • Any amounts overpaid will be refunded.

  • Please get travel insurance to ensure unexpected expenses and cancellations are covered.

  • Domestic flights will be booked through shared accounts. You are welcome to access this account to make booking changes such as; additional luggage, seats changes etc.

  • Proof of payments and bookings are available at any time.

  • Costs for accommodation are based on 2 people per room. Overall cost per person may be higher depending on final room allocation and preferences.
